Artificial Intelligence for Digital Twinning (AI4DT)

The Fieldlab “Artificial Intelligence for Digital Twins (AI4DT)“ is the start of a German - Dutch network of Fieldlabs for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and it is the result of an extensive cooperation between:

Landelijk bureau Smart Industry
Fraunhofer Institut für Produktiontechnik und Automatisierung- Stuttgart
Steinbeis Transferzentrum für Industrie 4.0 und Digitalisierung
Brainport Industries Coöperatie U.A.
Fieldlabs en onderwijsinstellingen op de Brainport Industries Campus
Ministerie für Wirtschaft, Arbeit und Wohnungsbau en de
Provincie Noord-Brabant.

The cooperation is aimed to support SME's in the development of Artificial intelligence and Digital Twins applications.

Digital Twins connect the virtual world to the real world and are virtual images of real production machines, products or systems, including their properties, behaviors and conditions. By linking the models to real-time information and releasing Artificial Intelligence tools, processes, machines, etc. can be optimized and productivity improvement of up to 25% is possible. The adoption of this technology by SMEs in particular is of great importance in order to maintain our long-term position in the world. It is also an essential condition for digital cooperation in open innovation and (international) supply chains in the future. Both Brabant and Baden-Württemberg are important engines of the European economy and it is important that investments are now made to secure future earning power and competitiveness.

Prior to this opening, the Innovation Pact was signed by Germany and the Netherlands in the morning on 21 January 2021. Read more...
